Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE)
The ADE is the voice for a cost effective, efficient, low carbon, user-led energy system; a market in which decentralised energy can flourish. With over 100 members we bring together interested parties from across the sector to develop a strong, dynamic and sustainable environment for a range of technologies including combined heat and power, district heating networks and demand side energy services, including demand response.
Global Smart Grid Federation (GSGF)
The Global Smart Grid Federation (GSGF) is a global stakeholder organization committed to creating smarter, cleaner electrical systems around the world. GSGF is comprised of national smart grid organizations from fifteen countries and the European Union.
International District Energy Association (IDEA)
The International District Energy Association (IDEA) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit industry association founded in the United States in 1909. IDEA has extensive experience in highly reliable thermal networks, combined heat and power, thermal storage and clean energy management to optimize energy efficiency, emissions reductions and sustainable solutions for mission-critical and community-scale markets.
International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is an intergovernmental organisation that supports countries in their transition to a sustainable energy future, and serves as the principal platform for international co-operation, a centre of excellence, and a repository of policy, technology, resource and financial knowledge on renewable energy. IRENA promotes the widespread adoption and sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy, including bioenergy, geothermal, hydropower, ocean, solar and wind energy, in the pursuit of sustainable development, energy access, energy security and low-carbon economic growth and prosperity.
International Energy Agency (IEA)
The IEA works to ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy for its 29 member countries and beyond. IEA's mission is guided by four main areas of focus: energy security, economic development, environmental awareness and engagement worldwide.
Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow (QUEST)
QUEST is a non-profit organization that conducts research, engagement, and advocacy to advance Smart Energy Communities in Canada by working with government, utilities, the energy industry, the real-estate sector, economic regulators, and the product and professional service sector.
Sustainable Energy for all (SEforALL)
Sustainable Energy for All empowers leaders to broker partnerships and unlock finance to achieve universal access to sustainable energy, as a contribution to a cleaner, just and prosperous world for all.
District Energy in Cities Initiative
The District Energy in Cities Initiative is working to raise awareness on the opportunities and multiple benefits of district energy, communicate best practice, and inspire cities to take control of their heating and cooling sector through district energy. The challenge is significant: new cities and districts are constantly being planned and constructed worldwide without giving full consideration to district energy and many cities with existing district energy networks are unaware of the importance and potential of the assets they already have.
